.) Stock up on ice; a good rule of thumb is one pound of ice per guest
.) Most cocktails use 1.5 fluid ounces of spirit per drink; plan on getting 16 cocktails out of each bottle
.) Print off your drink menu, including the signature drinks, wines and beers you will be serving, and place it in an attractive freestanding frame on the bar.
.) Provide your guests with non-alcoholic drink (mocktails) choices
.) Feature one or two signature drinks on your invitation, beer and wine instead of a full bar
.) Keep your decorations simple, you can create a classy atmosphere with a few candles, a vase of flowers in the center of the food table and a great upbeat music playlist
.) Serve a nice variety of easy make appetizers for your guests
.) Encourage your guests to drink responsibly and don't be afraid to take the keys of someone who has had to many.
.) Have coffee available towards the end of your party for your guests
.) Enjoy yourself! Planning ahead is important for you to be able to mingle with your guests. Remember anything that can be done ahead of time "do it" so you can be a guest at your own party without any stress.
