An “autumn harvest” dinner party celebrates the turning of the seasons and is a throw back to our forefathers who celebrated the collection of the harvest. It also offers us one last chance for outdoor entertaining, before the weather turns too cold.

Tablescape

Decorate your table with autumn colors of browns, oranges, greens and reds. Add a rustic feel to your table with the fall barnwood box arrangement.

Drape the table with a sage table cloth. Set the table with brown salad and dinner plates, wine glasses, water glasses, pitcher of ice water with lemon and orange slices, silverware and these pretty multi shades of orange napkins.

Directions

Mix spoonfuls of these spices together. Pour them into a square of aluminum foil. Add a few drops of water and close leaving a small opening at the top. Place them onto a cookie sheet and into a 275 degree oven. As the water evaporates you will notice the aroma wafting through the house. You can also achieve this activity using a damp paper coffee filter sealed with a twist-tie.
