Thanksgiving Ideas

I have some great Thanksgiving ideas for you but let me share some fun facts with your first. Thanksgiving is celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November, the end of harvest season. Most people celebrate by gathering at home with family and friends for a holiday feast and to give thanks for what they have. Family and friends watch the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade until the last float with Santa rolls by. This is a sign that the Christmas season has begun. And Thanksgiving would not be complete without the Dallas Cowboys who have hosted every Thanksgiving Day Football game since 1966, with the exception of 1975 and 1977 when the then-St. Louis Cardinals hosted (the Cowboys and Cardinals faced each other, in Dallas, in 1976). "Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow."— Melody Beattie Take the guesswork out of entertaining by letting me give you some thanksgiving ideas and with step by step Thanksgiving menu’s which include recipes, shopping lists and timelines from finecooking.com. And impress your family and friends with quick and easy festive tablescape ideas. Enjoy the day!

Thanksgiving Table
To create your Thanksgiving table drape the table with an
olive green table cloth. You will also need olive green napkins. Add purple or Burgundy/Cream dinnerware and wine or cocktail glasses to the table.
Centerpiece and CandlesFor the candles take
two cosmopolitan glasses,
two ivory votives
and some
grapevine.
Add the candles to the glasses and wrap the grapevine around the bottom of the glass.
For the centerpiece take an
Apothecary Jar
and fill it with different color grapes. Make sure some of the grapes are hanging off the side to give it a dramatic look. Wrap some grapevine around the bottom of the jar and that is it. What an easy centerpiece but gives your table a simple but elegant look. Place wine cork place card holders around the table for each of your guests. Then stand back and admire your tablescape.
Thanks your for letting me share my Thanksgiving ideas with you and enjoy the holiday!
